Viper Motorsports offers cat-back exhaust systems for a wide variety of vehicle applications from several of the top manufacturers in the aftermarket exhaust industry. We also custom build cat-back exhaust systems utilizing your choice of components. Cat-back exhaust systems can be a great way to increase power and performance. Most aftermarket cat-back systems feature mandrel-bent tubing for smoother exhaust flow and most are manufactured using aluminized metal or stainless steel.
Viper Motorsports sells and installs cat-back exhaust systems top brands like Banks, Borla, Magnaflow, Flowmaster, Cherry Bomb, Corsa, Dynomax, Gibson, Kooks, MBRP, & more. Viper Motorsports offers a cat-back exhaust system for nearly any vehicle application and budget and we also offer NO CREDIT CHECK financing if you are a little short on cash.
Just as the name implies, a cat-back exhaust system attaches after/behind the OEM catalytic converter so, the original factory emissions components remain untouched and vehicle remains emissions compliant. A cat back exhaust is typically made up of a rear-pipe, a resonator and a muffler, but depending on the vehicle make and model, it might also include a mid-pipe, X-pipe, H-Pipe or a Y-Pipe. Cat-back systems are the most popular aftermarket exhaust system because while they can actually provide noticeable improvements in performance and sound, they don’t require the purchase of new catalytic converters or headers.
Why would I want a Cat-Back Exhaust System on my car or truck?
Most car and truck manufacturers are focused on maximizing space, minimizing materials and increasing profit when they design new vehicles. Rarely is horsepower, performance and durability a top priority. As a result, stock exhaust systems are usually inefficient and restrictive which actually reduces power and even fuel economy.
Of course, this depends quite a bit on your mechanical ability and your access to a lift. That being said, many modern vehicles have a factory service-point in the exhaust system (flange or slip-fit) located in the exhaust tubing after the catalytic converter. Any vehicle that doesn't have a factory service-point will require "cutting" of the factory exhaust system before you can install a new Cat-Back exhaust system.
